I was in the Shoal Creek subdivision this week for an appraisal assignment. This is always an interesting subdivision to work in because of its exclusivity. The subdivision is built around a world class golf course that was designed by Jack Nicklaus and has hosted various PGA and USA Amateur Championships.
Shoal Creek could also be the home of the most expensive home in Alabama. In doing my MLS research I ran across this home. It is located at 7 Montagel Way and is listed for $17,900,000. It has been on the market for about 1 year. This is the most expensive house I have ran across in the Birmingham, Alabama area. The MLS information shows that it has 15 bedrooms, 16 bathrooms, 6 half baths, and has approximately 50,000 square feet of living area. It is located on 27 +- acres. We don’t run across homes of this quality and price range much so I thought I would share it with you. What is the most expensive home you have seen?
