I recently completed an assignment in the Lake Crest subdivision in Hoover, AL and thought I would share with you some market stats. The data in this chart goes back 5 years and includes current active listings.

Lake Crest is located in Hoover, AL just off of Interstate 459, exit 10. This area is popular due to its convenient location and access to the various locations around the Birmingham metro area. Some other popular neighborhoods in the area are Trace Crossings and Ross Bridge, which has the Renaissance Golf Resort & Spa.

Hoover, AL is the largest suburb around Birmingham and has a population of about 85,000 as of the 2015 Census. It has two high schools, including Hoover High School and Spain Park High School. Two of its largest employers include Blue Cross and Blue Shield as well as Regions Financial.

  1. Is there much of a price premium for being located on the lake or having a view of the lake? It looks like there could be some lake influence from the map, though it’s hard to see if any properties are actually on the lake.
