I wanted to take a break from discussing work related topics to thanks all of the Veterans who have served, or are currently serving, our country. I truly appreciate the service they have given to the greatest nation on earth, the United States of America.
Within my immediate family my father, nephew, and father-in-law were in the military. I thank them, as well as everyone else that has served, for defending our nation and making it possible for everyone to enjoy the freedoms we now have. Sometimes it is easy to forget the sacrifices they have made, like being away from their families, risking their lives to protect others, and putting their country’s interest before their own.
By the way, the picture I have included was taken on a school class trip to Washington DC when my daughter was in the 5th grade. It was a great time to actually see in person the things we read about in books, and to connect the sacrifices our military makes with the memorials our nation has built in their honor.
Do you have a friend or relative in the military? Why not leave a thank you below in the comments section as a tribute to their service to our country? Everyone have a great day and thank a Veteran.
