Which Shelby County subdivisions have the most new construction?

Top 10 Subdivisions For New Construction In Shelby CountyOn a national level we hear about the housing market being so good but as we all know real estate is location specific so it really doesn’t do us much good to look at these broad statistics. One reason I write my blog is to discuss the real estate market on a local level because that is going to be more relevant for buyers and sellers in the Birmingham, Al area.

Tom Brander, who writes a local real estate market trends blog, wrote that pricing pressures and low inventory levels provide a good environment for builders yet he is still not seeing a significant level of  new home building.   With that being said I was curious to find out which Shelby County subdivisions have had the most new construction over the past 12 month period, starting in August of 2014 through August of 2015, so today we’ll look at the top 10 neighborhoods for new construction in Shelby County. By the way, these statistics have been taken from the Birmingham Multiple Listing Service as of August 30, 2015.
