Merry Christmas & Happy New Year from Tom Horn and BirminghamAppraisalBlog.com

I wanted to take this time to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!  2010 has been a great year for my business.  I started my appraisal blog to help me connect more with my clients.  It has helped me to build relationships with others in the real estate industry, both locally and nationally.  I have made friends with other appraisers across the country who also blog, in addition to local real estate professionals who are leveraging the power of social networking to build their businesses.  Through blogging I had the opportunity to speak with the real estate professionals at “Get a Real Estate Life“.  This led to being a guest on the local real estate radio show “Real Estate Radio” with hosts Charles Tuttle and Eileen Rattiner.  I also did a podcast interview with Realtor David & Colleen Black available here.

My goal is to use Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, and Youtube to establish relationships with others.  But that is just the beginning; one on one interaction is the ultimate goal.  After all business is about relationships, and I hope those of you out there working with these social tools will connect with me.  I look forward to meeting you.

Please enjoy a little of the snow we had in Alabama on Christmas day, it was the first snow on Christmas day in many years!

  1. I am really jealous of your Christmas snow. It didn’t make it to me in Warner Robins GA. It looks like it was coming down pretty hard.

    • We were really lucky. They said it was the first time in like 40 years to have snow on Christmas day. The flakes were really big but it did not stick a lot, but it was still fun with the kids.
