Which Jefferson County subdivisions have the most new construction?
I recently wrote a post about new construction in Shelby County, AL, however today I’m going to take a look at new home construction in Jefferson County, AL. These two counties comprise the bulk of work that I do and are considered my primary market areas. While new construction is occurring in scattered areas throughout Jefferson County the majority is in the “Over the Mountain” area, and specifically Hoover and Vestavia Hills. Other areas in Jefferson County that also have new construction activity include Trussville, McCalla, and Fultondale.
Today we’ll take a look at the ten subdivisions in Jefferson County, AL which have had the most new homes sell over the past 12 months. There were approximately 784 new homes sold during this period with slightly more than half taking place in these 10 neighborhoods. Sales within the city of Hoover made up approximately half of all sales from these 10 neighborhoods. These statistics have been taken from the Birmingham Multiple Listing Service as of September 7, 2015.

There looks to be a huge price spectrum, which is a good thing so many buyers can get into the market.
Good eye Ryan. There is a wide range of demographics for these areas so the range in pricing is expected and is usually tied partly to the school system, which is why I included that information.
